It's fact that between alcohol and heroin withdrawel, alcohol withdrawel is more dangerous and you can die from it, heroin withdrawel will definately be painful but you cannot die from it.

Any sort of withdrawal can kill you. It just depends on how you wean yourself off the drug. Alcohol withdrawal can be easily survived like heroin withdrawal; processes are just different.
